Fastpitch Softball Facilities of MVSA
Fastpitch softball facilities are increasingly getting harder to find in Montgomery County. Many teams scramble for field time and pay expensive indoor rates. They can drive your costs up. MVSA Storm Fastpitch softball organization has their own dedicated softball facilities. These include: Patsy Huson Ball Field, Martin P. Roy Park and William Hurley Park. Each field is equipped with its own fastpitch softball equipment. This enables quick practice set-up and more practice time. Storm strives to better serve girls fastpitch softball in Montgomery County, MD., and having our own fields for practice, scrimmages and games is yet another Storm advantage.
In addition to our own fields, Montgomery Village Lake Marion Community Center is utilized for winter workouts. Our winter workouts are geared toward injury prevention and strength/conditioning. We pay particular attention to knee injuries which are a top concern of young female fastpitch athletes. To stay up-to-the-minute on new information and techniques in the strength training arena MVSA Storm fastpitch employs some of the area's top strength and conditioning coaches. Strength training, explosive movement techniques and skills enhancement are just some of what Storm provides in winter workouts. By offering our own fastpitch softball facilities, Storm has advantages other teams can't match. For more information on MVSA Storm Fastpitch Winter Workouts, please contact Storm Commissioner Ralph Lennon.
