Welcome to MVSA Storm Fastpitch Softball
On behalf of MVSA Softball, we would like to thank you for your interest in our organization! It is our purpose and goal to provide an educational environment for the development of young female fastpitch softball players in Montgomery County, MD. Competitive girls fastpitch softball requires a lot of hard work and dedication. As a member of the Storm fastpitch family we require each player to exhibit sportsmanship, integrity, and character.
MVSA Softball is proud to offer two levels of play, recreational and select for players aged 7-18. Recreational (MVSA Softball, played in fall and spring) teams play against each other and teams from other girls fastpitch softball programs geographically close to MVSA. Select (Storm) teams play in local tournaments as well as tournaments requiring travel to Virginia, Pennsylvania, and other areas along the East Coast. Storm participates in the most competitive fastpitch tournaments sponsored by ASA, USSSA and Pony Softball.
Our greatest reward, as an organization and as coaches, is to witness the growth of young female athletes into successful young women. MVSA Softball is a non-profit organization. Our coaches do not receive compensation and all fees directly benefit our players. We are very proud that our team fees are consistently lower than those of other girls fastpitch softball teams in Montgomery County, MD. Storm does not require families to fundraise for their teams. Some teams however do decide to fundraise so that they may attend special tournaments or unique destinations that may fall outside the normal schedule.
